All of your survey responses are treated as confidential. We will never intentionally disclose your personal information or individual survey responses to the client that commissioned the study or any third parties unless you consent to share your personal data and/or individual responses.
Direct Marketing
We may send you marketing / promotional materials. You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information. We will update you with improvements in our services, and new features direct marketing is carried out only if you consent to receive such communications from us.
Users under 16 years of age
The Sites and Services do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 16. We never knowingly invite children under the age of 16 to participate in research studies without taking measures to ensure appropriate consent from a responsible adult.
Data Retention Policy
We will retain your personal information for as long as is needed to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
Respondent Data retained only as necessary
ActionEdge retains personal details of Respondents for a period of two years from the date of collection or the date of the last contact, whichever is later. If you choose to have your information deleted or opt-out from future surveys, then we will delete all information except the limited information necessary to avoid contacting you again.ActionEdge may retain Other Information pertaining to you for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
You can request to access, update or correct your personal information. You also have the right to object to direct marketing.You may have additional rights pursuant to your local law applicable to the processing. For example, if the processing of your personal information is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and your personal information is processed based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing on grounds relating to your specific situation. Under GDPR you may also have the right to request to have your personal information deleted or restricted and ask for portability of your personal information.
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives consumers more control over the personal information that businesses collect about them. As a business CCPA does not apply to ActionEdge since ActionEdge does not meet any of the following criteria. Similarly to CCPA, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA) does not apply to ActionEdge since these laws does not affect ActionEdge as we do not meet few/all of the following requirements.
CCPA/CPRA
- Have a gross annual revenue of over $25 million.
- Buy, receive, or sell the personal information of 50,000 or more California residents, households, or devices; or
- Derive 50% or more of their annual revenue from selling California residents’ personal information.
UCPA
- Conduct business in Utah or produce products or services targeted to Utah residents
- Either (A) process personal data of 100,000 or more Utah residents; or (B) derive more than 50 percent of their gross revenue from the sale of personal data and control or process the personal data of 25,000 or more Utah consumers.
VCDPA
- They either conduct business in Virginia or produce products or services targeted to Virginia residents; and
- During a calendar year (i) control or process personal data of at least 100,000 consumers; or (ii) control or process personal data of at least 25,000 consumers and derive over 50 percent of their gross revenue from the sale of personal data.
CPA
- Applies to a controller that conducts business in Colorado or produces or delivers commercial products or services that are intentionally targeted to residents of Colorado; and
- Controls or processes the personal data of 100,000 consumers or more during a calendar year: or
- Derives revenue or receives a discount on the price of goods or services from the sale of personal data and processes or controls the personal data of 25,000 consumers or more.
CTDPA
- Conduct business in Connecticut, or produce products or services targeted to CT residents; and
- During the preceding calendar year, either (a) controlled/processed the personal data of at least 100,000 consumers (excluding for payment transactions), or (b) controlled/processed the personal data of at least 25,000 consumers and derived more than 25% of gross revenue from the sale of personal data.
ActionEdge is not a data broker as ActionEdge does not sell personal data to any third party.
Still, ActionEdge abides by four privacy rights, as defined below.
